The refereeing appointments for the upcoming round of Serie A action have been formalised and Davide Massa has been assigned to referee Genoa versus Inter.

The 39-year-old, who refereed his first Serie A match back in 2011, has refereed 28 matches across all competitions to date this term, in which he has dished out 146 yellow cards and 10 red cards.

Massa has refereed four matches involving Genoa this term whilst he has refereed Inter in two matches, the 3-3 draw with Sassuolo and the 3-1 win over Torino.

Fabiano Preti and Lorenzo Manganelli will be Massa’s assistant referees at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, tomorrow evening whilst the fourth official will be Antonio Giua.

Massimiliano Irrati has been assigned to take charge of VAR and he will have Stefano Liberti alongside him to assist.

Inter head into this match in third place, seven points adrift of league leaders Juventus, whilst Genoa are hovering just above the relegation zone and could secure Serie A safety if they win, provided Lecce lose.
