FC St Gallen will decide what to do with on loan Axel Bakayoko in the coming weeks according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.
The young French winger is coming to the end of a two year loan spell with the Swiss Super League side, who have an option to sign him up on a permanent basis for a sum of around €4 million.
Should FC St Gallen decide against exercising their option to buy, Bakayoko’s future could be back in his homeland, with the report explaining that there are various Ligue 2 clubs making enquiries for him. In the next few weeks they could come forward and express their desire to take him on loan next season.
The 22-year-old, who has been with Inter since 2014, has made 20 appearances across all competitions to date for FC St Gallen this term. In just under 500 minutes, he has provided a total of two assists.
