Inter and AC Milan will make a decision on which of the two projects for the new stadium they will go ahead with by the end of the Summer according to a report in yesterday’s edition of Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Populous group and Manica CMR Sportium are both in the running to win the rights to build the Milanese club’s new state of the art stadium.

The two groups have presented various plans to the clubs which the clubs have then presented publicly as well as to the Milan city council.

Inter and AC Milan are expected to spend in excess of €1 billion on the new stadium project that will not only see their current San Siro stadium demolished but also the whole area surrounding the stadium being renovated.

The two clubs have grand plans to build things like hotels, restaurants and commercial spaces to compliment the new stadium and give life to the area when there is no football on.
