Inter want to keep Alexis Sanchez at the club until the end of August according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
Inter want to keep a hold of Sanchez until the end of August in order for him to be able to play in the rest of the Europa League, should Inter manage to go all the way.
His current loan deal is due to expire within the first 10 days of August, with various media outlets providing various dates as to when it expires in that time frame.
Members of Inter’s management met with an emissary of Manchester United to hold talks over a further loan extension and Inter also wanted to lay the foundations for trying to sign him on a permanent basis ahead of the new season.
The two clubs are yet to come to an economic agreement and further talks will be needed.
This season Sanchez has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.
