Inter have prepared a new contract offer worth €5 million a year until 2025 for striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

The highly rated 22-year-old, who is already under contract with the club until the end of the 2022/23 season, has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona for a number of months now and has also been linked with Manchester City recently.

Inter manager Antonio Conte wants to keep a hold of the Argentine national team forward and really focus on him next season and this is a big reason behind Inter’s resistance in talks with Barcelona over him.

The report goes on to add that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio want him to put pen to paper as soon as possible.

This season Lautaro has become a regular starter and has made 42 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 3100 minutes on the park, the former Racing Club player has scored 18 goals and provided his teammates with a total of six assists.
