Lionel Messi’s father Jorge Messi has purchased a house very close to Inter’s headquarters according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Messi senior has purchased property on via Colombo, in the Porta Nuova area of Milan, a stones throw away from Inter’s headquarters.

This decision has been made for fiscal reasons as living in Italy offers the best taxation for his son’s interests, Messi invoices billions, between his salary, sponsorship deals and other things and his economic interests will be moved to Milan.

Reports in the media have suggested that Inter are considering a move for the multi-time world player of the year but this report goes on to state that Inter are denying the current speculation.

Messi, who is under contract with Barcelona until the end of next season, has made 42 appearances across all competitions to date this term. During his time on the park, which totals just over 3600 minutes, he has scored 30 goals and tallied 26 assists.
