Stefan de Vrij wants to ensure he has recovered for Inter’s upcoming Europa League match against Getafe according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Dutch national team defender sustained a knee sprain during the goalless draw against Fiorentina at San Siro on Wednesday night and he is set to miss tomorrow night’s match versus Genoa due to injury.

With de Vrij to miss out, Inter manager Antonio Conte could well call upon Andrea Ranocchia to replace him, just like he did when de Vrij came off against Fiorentina.

Alternatively, Conte could move Diego Godin into the centre of the three man defence with Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni either side of him.

The report goes on to state that Inter’s midfield pairing at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris is likely to be Roberto Gagliardini and Marcelo Brozovic whilst it is between Borja Valero and Christian Eriksen to start at attacking midfield.
