Brazilian midfielder Rafinha may return to Serie A, with Inter the main club interested in signing him, according to a report from Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo earlier today.

The report details how the 27-year-old Brazilian has spent this season on loan at Celta Vigo from Barcelona, but the club couldn’t afford the €16 million release clause on the player, and talks to lower the price failed, so he will return to Barcelona. Multiple Serie A clubs have registered their interest in the player.

Rafinha has informed Barcelona’s management of the interest of an Italian club who wouldn’t be able to pay the full price, the report continues. The clues suggest that it is Inter, who would want the deal to be unrelated to the one for Lautaro Martinez, and have wanted to bring the Brazilian back to Milan since his loan spell in 2018.

The player is currently on holiday but will return to Catalonia soon to tell Barcelona his intentions.
