Inter’s top target for the left wing back role is Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, although Udinese midfielder Ken Sema is also being considered, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking to strengthen the left wing back role this summer, as only English veteran Ashley Young is confirmed for the department by coach Antonio Conte, who hasn’t been particularly impressed with Cristiano Biraghi or Kwadwo Asamoah.

The 25-year-old Emerson, who is contracted to Chelsea until 2022, is known by Conte thanks to his time in London, and fits the Lecce born coach’s tactical system well. Emerson has been mostly frozen out of the Chelsea squad by coach Frank Lampard, the report continues, and is clearly transfer listed.

The Nerazzurri are currently in talks, looking to finalise a deal, according to the report. Another option should they decide not to sign Emerson is 26-year-old Swedish midfielder Ken Sema, who is currently on loan at Udinese from Watford.
