Inter have decided to first find an agreement with Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez regarding his wages before moving on to negotiate with Manchester United, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia.
The report details how the Nerazzurri are hoping to keep the 31-year-old Chilean international striker, who has impressed since the restart of the season under coach Antonio Conte.
Manchester United have refused to extend his loan beyond the Nerazzurri’s Europa League clash against Getafe, and so he would only remain in Milan if the Milanese club purchased him outright.
Inter will first focus on finding an agreement with the player, having already had one meeting with his agent about the matter, the report continues.
After this has been found, the Nerazzurri will present an offer to the Red Devils, who in theory could end up paying the 31-year-old €55 million gross over the next two years. Sanchez has scored three goals and provided ten assists in 26 appearances so far this season.
