Inter will permanently sign Sassuolo owned midfielder Stefano Sensi at the end of this month, despite his injury woes, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today.

The report details how the 24-year-old Italian midfielder impressed immediately upon arriving at the club, scoring three goals and providing four assists in the first six league games of the season.

In his seventh game, against Juventus, the player suffered a tear in the abductor muscle, which would be one of many injuries that hampered his play time this season.

Despite his consistent injury problems, which have seen him miss at least 27 games due to various problems, the Nerazzurri have no doubts about permanently signing the player, the report continues.

Midfielders Borja Valero and Matias Vecino will leave this summer, but Sensi is sure to play an important role in coach Antonio Conte’s system next season and the player is hoping to be a consistent starter.
