Manchester United have asked Inter to pay €20 million to permanently sign Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, but the Nerazzurri would prefer a player swap involving Croatian Ivan Perisic, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset aired this afternoon.
The report details how the 31-year-old Chilean forward has proven crucial to coach Antonio Conte since the restart of the season, impressing consistently and being one of the Milanese club’s most exciting offensive options.
The player’s loan spell expires with the club on the 5th August, after their Europa League clash against Getafe. Inter are looking to extend the loan until the end of the season.
Manchester United have refused to extend Sanchez’s loan at Inter, the report continues, because they want to sell him permanently this summer as soon as possible.
The Red Devils offered him to the Nerazzurri for €20 million, but instead the Milanese club offered the English side 31-year-old Croatian forward Ivan Perisic, who impressed this season whilst on loan with Bayern Munich.
