It was hardly a beautiful performance that will be remembered in the history books, but the Nerazzurri got the job done and ran out 3-0 winners away against Genoa.

Inter never really got going and it wasn’t until Alexis Sanchez came on that the Nerazzurri felt concrete in their attacks. After the Manchester United loanee came on Inter scored two more goals and put the game to bed.

Samir Handanovic – 6: Had nothing to do all afternoon except for the two shots he on target that any conscious human in goal would have saved.

Milan Skriniar – 6: Looked better than he has in a very long time. Alert, concentrated and up for it. Brought off to be rested ahead of Napoli and Atalanta.

Andrea Ranocchia – 6: Did well except for one instance where he lost his head which would have costed a goal against a better team than Genoa.

Diego Godin – 6: Good performance by the Uruguayan defender. Isn’t comfortable in this back 3 but makes up for it in experience and class.

Victor Moses – 7: Very good performance by the Chelsea loanee who marauded up and down the right hand side. Assisted Alexis Sanchez for the 2-0 goal.

Roberto Gagliardini – 5.5: Aside from annoying Alexis Sanchez yet again got booked and will miss Napoli game. With this performance in mind that’s a blessing.

Marcelo Brozovic – 5.5: This is not the Brozovic that Luciano Spalletti rehabilitated but the one who was on the verge of being sold. Timing off and out of form.

Cristiano Biraghi – 6: Got another assist from his weaker right foot. Did alright offensively and defensively. Brought off for Ashley Young at the end.

Christian Eriksen – 5: A for effort but D for execution sums his performance up. He tries and wants to get involved showing glimpses but it’s not good enough.

Romelu Lukaku – 8: Goals number 28 and 29 in all competitions bagged by Big Rom as well as being imperative to how Inter play in both defence and attack.

Lautaro Martinez – 5: Right now he wouldn’t even make the bench at Las Palmas, let alone the starting line-up at Barcelona. Looks completely uninterested.

Alexis Sanchez – 7.5: Has now scored 3 goals and made 7 assists since the season restarted. Demonstrating leader qualities on the pitch. Must be kept.

Borja Valero – 7: Comes on and dictates tempo and spreads calm around him in a way only an experienced player of his quality can.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 7: Came on for Skriniar and did very well providing just the kind of defensive cover needed on the right side of the back 3.

Ashley Young – N/A: Came on in the 84th minute for Cristiano Biraghi and didn’t play long enough to be rated.

Antonio Candreva – N/A: Brought on in the 84th minute for Victor Moses and didn’t play long enough to be rated.

Antonio Conte – 6.5: Hardly the best match Inter have played under him but all that mattered was the three points which were never really in doubt.

Davide Massa – 7: Got all important decisions right, didn’t try to steal the headlines and by crazy decisions. Kept a consistent line throughout.

Inter – 6: Not a good performance by any stretch of the imagination against one of the worst teams in the Serie A. Got the job done but that’s it.
