Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has struck a deal with Manchester United over extending Alexis Sanchez’s loan until the end of next season according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazetta dello Sport.

Inter manager Antonio Conte has pushed to have Sanchez kept for the rest of the season and end of next and Marotta is working to satisfy him, with the talks at the details stage.

Sanchez, who is under contract with Manchester United until the end of the 2021/22 season, is currently on loan at Inter until August 5, the date of Inter’s Europa League last 16 clash with Getafe.

In today’s print edition, the Milan based news outlet state that the two clubs are discussing a loan until end of next season and that Inter will buy him afterwards.

Inter would like to sign him for a fee between €10-15 million and plan to spread his big wages over the duration of his contract and take advantage of the Italian tax laws

During his loan spell, the former Barcelona and Arsenal star has made 27 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.
