Vincenzo Pisacane, the agent of Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio, has revealed that talks over a new contract will be held at the new season and he does not foresee there being any problems when it comes to an agreement being reached.
“He was very happy after scoring against Napoli. He scored a nice goal against a great team. It was only normal that he was particularly happy,” he began an interview with Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.
He was then asked how his client feels at the Nerazzurri club, who he has been with since January 2014.
“Danilo feels like he is an integral part of the project and the Inter family. He is very happy to play for the club, with what he is doing and the progress of the team. So much so that in the next season they will want to aim to do something more.”
Pisacane was then quizzed on D’Ambrosio and his contractual situation with Inter with him having little under a year to run on his current deal.
“There will be no problems when it comes to the contract. At the end of the season we will sit at the table and find an agreement. Inter is a family for Danilo. He cares a lot and the same is true also for the Nerazzurri side.”
He was then asked if his versatility in being able to play at full back and centre back has made him more attractive to other clubs.
“Look, this question should be addressed to Ausilio but I can tell you that Piero has always told us that Danilo would not move. We have always sent every offer that has arrived back to the sender and Inter did the same. We are satisfied and we hope to continue like this for many more years.”
Pisacane then shared his thoughts on Inter’s current squad and what his client tells him about the current state of the team.
“The group is very cohesive and strong again this year. In addition there is Conte, a coach who is like a hammer. Danilo always tells me, ‘he’s pretty cool.’ This means that everyone is more responsible, must pedal and satisfy the coach’s requests.”
In conclusion he was asked about Inter’s chances of going all the way and winning the Europa League next month.
“Inter believe in winning, we are talking about a big club and it is right for them to do so. There are many strong teams in the competition, but the Nerazzurri are one too.
“The owners are doing important things, the coach is very well prepared. It’s normal for them to try to win every game, including Saturday in Bergamo to secure second place.”
