Inter are to offer Borja Valero a one year contract extension according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The experienced Spanish central midfielder struggled to get anywhere near the starting line-up in the early part of the season but he has managed to force his way into the side and having convinced with his performances, Inter are to reward him with a contract extension.

Valero is currently under contract with the club until the end of next month and by signing a contract extension he will be on Inter’s books until the end of the upcoming season.

The former West Bromwich Albion player has managed to keep January transfer window recruit Christian Eriksen out of the team as of late and in 25 appearances across all competitions to date this term, he has scored a total of three goals but has failed to register any assists.
