Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has become the Inter player to have scored the most goals from outside the box in a single season since the 2008/09 season with his latest goal from outside the box which came in Inter’s 2-0 win over Napoli, sports data and analytics company Opta have highlighted.

The highly rated 22-year-old curled one in from distance against the Partenopei and this was his fourth goal from outside the box. The last player to do better was Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored six from outside the box in 2008/09.
