Alexis Sanchez will have to agree to a pay cut in order to stay at Inter according to a report from the online edition of sports broadcaster ESPN.

Sanchez is currently on loan at Inter from Manchester United and that loan spell is due to end after the final round of Serie A fixtures, this report explains.

Inter want to keep a hold of Sanchez but the Premier League side are unwilling to sanction a short term loan extension to enable Sanchez to stay at Inter until the end of August.

Inter have expressed an interest to keep the former Barcelona star on a permanent basis and in order for him to stay permanently, he will have to significantly reduce his £400,000 a week wages (approximately €440,000).

Whilst on loan at Inter, the 31-year-old has made 28 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.
