Barcelona will not launch a lawsuit against Inter owners Suning’s PPTV Sports channel after their decision to include the silhoutte of Lionel Messi on a recent graphic according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The Catalan club were greatly irritated by the use of Messi’s silhoutte with the Inter badge underneath him, both of which were projected onto Milan’s famous Duomo cathedral as part of a graphic promoting Inter’s recent match against Napoli.

Barcelona threatened legal action over a violation of image rights but the report claims that they will not be taking any legal action.

Messi has recently been strongly linked with a potential move to Inter and the Milan based news outlet goes on to claim that if Messi does leave Barcelona it will only be for Inter.

Signing Messi would be far from cheap though. On the basis he signs a four year contract worth €65 million gross a year, his salary alone would cost Inter €260 million gross and this must be added to the transfer fee, which is currently unquantifiable.  He could cost around €150 million and then add-ons plus various commisions will be added on top of that.
