Stefano Sensi is edging closer to a potential return to action following his latest injury lay-off according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

The Italian national team player has not featured whatsoever for the Nerazzurri club since the 2019/20 Serie A season got back underway due to injury.

Today in training he followed a personalied training regime aimed at helping him recover at a high intensity and the report goes on to explain that the chances of him being in Inter’s squad for their upcoming Europa League clash against Getafe at the start of next month are increasing.

Sensi joined Inter on a season long loan with option to buy from Sassuolo, an option Inter will reportedly take up. He made a great start to life in Nerazzurri but following his first injury back in October he has suffered multiple other injuries which has limited his time on the park.

This season he has made 18 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and tallied four assists for his teammates.
