Inter are in pole position to sign Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Inter are convinced that they will be able to wrap up a deal for the Albanian national team player, who is understood to prefer a move to Inter over the other sides in for him.

The Nerazzurri club need to find an agreement with Hellas Verona, who are understood to want in the region of €20 million for the 20-year-old, who has had his first team breakthrough this term.

Hellas Verona have enquired about taking Lucien Agoume on loan as part of any deal and are also understood to want Eddie Salcedo’s loan extended plus Edoardo Vergani on a permanent basis.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that it cannot be ruled out that Kumbulla could be loaned back to Hellas Verona next season in order to continue his development.
