Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa has dimissed recent speculation in the media that he is currently unhappy in Florence.

The Italian national team player has been heavily linked with a potential move away from La Viola for several seasons now and some reports have suggested that he is unhappy at the club.

Chiesa has been strongly linked to both Inter and Juventus in particular and he has also drawn links to a number of other clubs, including some in the Premier League.

“They say I’m not happy to be in Florence? I will leave that to those who always look for negative things about this team. I dedicate this hat-trick to the real Fiorentina fans,” he explained to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia following Fiorentina’s 4-0 win over Bologna last night.

He was then asked about his future with the club, who he has a contract with through to the end of the 2021/22 season.

“My future is the match against SPAL, where I will try to improve my goalscoring record in Serie A, then I will talk to the club. There is a great relationship with the management and we will speak with the utmost serenity.”

This season the 22-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the best Italian prospects out there at the moment, has made 36 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park he has scored 11 goals and provided seven assists for his teammates.
