Inter are thinking about handing veteran central midfielder Borja Valero a new contract with the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Valero’s current contract with the club is due to expire at the end of next month and the report from the Turin based news outlet explains that Inter could give him a contract extension until the end of the upcoming season.

Valero seemed almost certain to leave the club when his deal expired but he has performed very well since the season resumed last month and has convinced everyone with his performances. His ability to play in various roles in both a 3-5-2 and 3-4-1-2 system plus his attitude have also helped Inter to think about giving him a new deal.

The former Fiorentina player, who joined the club back in the Summer of 2017, has made 25 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals.
