Manchester City may drop their intrerest in signing Milan Skriniar having had an offer for Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake accepted according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

As per British broadcaster Sky Sports, Manchester City have had a £41 million offer (approximately €45 million) for the Dutch central defender.

This bid being accepted could well impact Inter given Manchester City have been strongly linked with moving for the Slovakian national team player for a few months now.

If they are to sign Ake, the report from FCInterNews.it suggests that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola may not wish to spend more of his allocated transfer budget for the upcoming transfer window on another defender and City could therefore possibily relinquish their interest in Skriniar.

This season Skriniar, who is contracted to Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 40 appearances across all competitions to date this term. In his time on the park, he has provided two assists for his teammates.
