Hellas Verona manager Ivan Juric has revealed that he would like to keep a hold of highly rated defender Marash Kumbulla for another season amid ongoing media speculation regarding his future with the club.

Kumbulla has been heavily linked with potential moves to both Inter and Lazio for some time now and many reports have stated that Inter are currently in the lead in the race to sign the Italian born Albanian national team player, who Hellas Verona want in the region of €30 million for.

“Is he ready for a great team? He is ready, although I would like him to stay for another year. He is a serious person,” Juric explained as part of an interview with Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition.

Kumbulla is widely regarded as one of the best young defensive prospects currently plying their trade in Italy at the moment and looks set for a very bright future in the game.

This season, which has been Kumbulla’s breakthrough year, he has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal.
