Inter are planning to offer Spanish midfielder Borja Valero a one-year contract extension, according to a report from Italian media outlet GianlucaDiMarzio.com.

The report details how the 35-year-old Spaniard’s current contract with the Nerazzurri expires at the end of this month, after three years with the club.

Due to his consistent performances since the season restart, the club are planning to offer him a one-year contract extension, tying him to the club until the end of next season.

Inter have informed Valero’s agents of their intentions, the report continues, and a contract could be signed over the next few days. Valero has made 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1347 minutes.

In that time, he has scored three goals and been praised by coach Antonio Conte for his continued professionalism, quickly performing up to standard despite failing to play a minute in the first 12 league games of the season.
