A win for Inter against Atalanta tonight would see the Nerazzurri finish the season in second place with 82 points, the same amount earnt by Jose Mourinho in the Treble winning season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how coach Antonio Conte’s squad will be looking for the maximum three points against Atalanta this evening, with a second-place finish more advantageous economically and motivating for the squad.

The club are currently one point ahead of the Bergamo based club and Lazio, so a win would secure second whilst a draw could see Lazio rise to the runner up spot.

Atalanta’s attack is the best in the league, the report continues, with 98 goals scored in 37 league games. Inter, on the other hand, have the strongest defense, conceding only 36 goals this season.

In the last five games, the Nerazzurri have secured four clean sheets.
