Inter midfielder Borja Valero has convinced coach Antonio Conte and will receive a one-season contract extension, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 35-year-old Spanish midfielder has impressed the 51-year-old Italian coach this season with his professionalism and ability to adapt to different roles.

Valero, who joined the club in 2017 and has a contract expiring at the end of this month, has made 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1347 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals.

Valero will receive a one-season contract extension lasting until June 30th 2021, the report continues, well deserved considering his performances since the restart of the season. Despite the close proximity of games, Valero has remained consistently available to Conte and has performed well. The 35-year-old Spaniard is likely to remain a rotational player next season.
