A report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport has suggested that Inter coach Antonio Conte’s target in his outburst yesterday was Nerazzurri sporting director Piero Ausilio.

The report details how the 51-year-old Italian coach criticised the club in interviews yesterday, following the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win over Atalanta. The win saw the Milanese club finish the season in second place with 82 points, one point behind winners Juventus.

In the interviews Conte also highlighted how former coach Luciano Spalletti had previously called out the issues, although the date he referenced was incorrect.

Considering which executives from Spalletti’s time in charge are still here, the report continues, Conte’s target becomes clear, Piero Ausilio. The 45-year-old Italian sporting director is the only executive still at the club from the Spalletti era, and was previously a manager within the club from 2010 to 2014, a period where the Nerazzurri began to decline and drop out of the Champions League places.
