Inter could replace Antonio Conte with either Massimiliano ‘Max’ Allegri or Mauricio Pochettino according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Tensions between Inter and Conte have risen as of late and many reports have suggested that a separation is the most probable outcome at the moment.

This report states that Conte currently has zer0 intention of resigning whilst sacking him would be a far from cheap option as it would cost them €25 million a year until 2022.

Max Allegri has experience of replacing Conte after a stormy break-up after he replaced him at the helm of Juventus. Allegri is currently out of work, just like Pochettino, who was most recently in charge of Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.

For the time being Allegri and Pochettino are both nothing more than ideas as Inter president Steven Zhang and Conte are still yet to meet in order to discuss things.

The report goes on to explain that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta never imagined it would be so difficult to manage Conte. The report concludes that making Conte the highest paid at the club has certainly not helped the club in managing him.
