Italian journalist Fabio Ravezzani discussed Inter coach Antonio Conte’s outburst after the Atalanta match in a post on his Twitter page.

The 51-year-old Italian coach complained in post-match interviews that the Nerazzurri’s management hadn’t supported him or the squad from the media and their criticisms throughout the season.

The former Chelsea and Italy coach guided the Milanese club to a second-place finish in his first season in charge, sitting on 82 points, one behind winners Juventus.

Conte alluded to their being various issues behind the scenes, and so internal meetings are currently ongoing to solve the issues ahead of the Nerazzurri’s Europa League clash against Spanish side Getafe on Wednesday, a single legged game that will be played in a neutral venue in Germany.

Conte is hoping to win the competition with the club in order to achieve some silverware in his first season in charge of the club.

Ravezzani discussed Conte’s outburst, saying: “This is how it works. Inter sign Conte because they believe they have a team that is stronger than fourth place and to immediately go out in the Champions League.

“Conte demands a very expensive transfer window and he gets it. He goes straight out in the Champions League, loses in the Coppa Italia and finishes in second place. Immediately afterwards he blames all the directors.”
