Inter and Sassuolo have been negotiating a new deal for Stefano Sensi in the past few days according to a report from Italian news outlet PassioneInter.com.

The Nerazzurri club would like to keep a hold of the on loan Italian national team midfielder and rather than take up the purchase option they have on him, they are seeking a fresh agreement with Sassuolo over him.

Sassuolo want Inter to insert a player as part payment into the new negotiations over Sensi and the report claims that the Neroverdi club especially like young Inter central defender Lorenzo Pirola.

Inter however do not want to let the highly rated youngster depart the club and the report goes on to explain that just like in negotiations with Manchester United over Alexis Sanchez, it cannot be excluded that there could be a rapid acceleration on Inter’s part to get a deal done.

During his loan with Inter, Sensi has made 18 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
