The attacker that Inter move for to complete the attack will be dependent on who is in charge according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Following his recent public outburst, speculation has been rife that current Inter manager Antonio Conte and the club will part ways just shortly, even if last night the former Italian national team boss reaffirmed his commitment to the Nerazzurri cause.

Should Conte remain in charge, Inter will go after Roma captain Edin Dzeko. Conte wanted the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player signed last Summer but Inter could not get a deal done. It could be different this time round though with Dzeko’s wages proving to be burdensome for the capital city club.

If Max Allegri, who is rumoured to be the favourite to replace Conte should he leave, comes in, Inter will go after free agent Mario Mandzukic instead. Allegri and Mandzukic worked together with great success in the past and with Mandzukic a free agent, he would be cheaper to sign than Dzeko.
