Ionut Andrei Radu will be Inter’s back-up goalkeeper to current number one Samir Handanovic next season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
The Romanian national team player is set to return to Inter in the coming days following the end of the 2019/20 Serie A season, the second half of which he spent out on loan at Parma.
Radu will take the place of Daniele Padelli as back-up to Handanovic. Padelli’s contract with Inter is due to expire at the end of this season and the report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to state that Inter will hand him a new deal until the end of the upcoming season and he will become the third choice signing.
Padelli saw some action earlier on in the season when Handanovic sustained an injury to his hand but he was far from convincing in the matches he did play.
