Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta, sporting director Piero Ausilio and vice-president Javier Zanetti did not take in Inter’s training session yesterday due to there being a limitation on numbers allowed to be present according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter arrived in Gelsenkirchen, Germany yesterday for their Europa League clash with Getafe later on today and they had a training session at the venue of tonight’s match, the Arena Auf’Schalke.

Marotta, Ausilio and Zanetti were nowhere to be seen but this was not due to the recent controversy and tensions between club management and Inter manager Antonio Conte but rather because only 45 people were allowed to attend the session and be on the pitch. The trio all remained in the hotel where the team are staying as a result.

Inter face Getafe at 21:00 local time today with the winner to face either Rangers or Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter finals of the competition.
