Barcelona will only contemplate a move for Inter’s Lautaro Martinez if Luis Suarez leaves the club according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Barcelona have been courting Lautaro for a considerable amount of time but will not have both him and Suarez at the club. Barcelona’s priority is to find a buyer for Suarez and then reinvest funds raised into signing Lautaro.

The La Liga giants believe that Suarez’s time with their club is up and they would make a real saving by offloading his wages compared to the wages that Lautaro will get.

Inter are waiting to see what happens and are calm about the situation due to knowing they can name their own price given Lautaro’s release clause has expired and because the player has never tried to force a move away from the club.

This season Lautaro has made 46 appearances across all competitions to date in which he has scored 19 goals and provided six assists for his teammates.
