Inter need to find a solution when it comes to Christian Eriksen, because he is worth it, according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Danish national team player made a near instant impact in last night’s 2-0 win over Getafe in the last 16 of the Europa League as he scored Inter’s second goal, moments after coming off of the bench.

The report explains that Inter’s midfield lacks originality and creativity, two things that Eriksen brings to the side. Rather than resorting to punting it long to striker Romelu Lukaku, Eriksen can come up with other ideas about how to get the ball up the field.

Eriksen joined Inter in the most recent January transfer window in a circa €20 million deal from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur but has struggled to perform to expectations for the most part.

Since joining the club, the former Ajax player has made 23 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
