Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has shared his desire to see out the remaining year of his contract with his current employers.

Vidal has just a year left to run on his current contract with the La Liga powerhouses and he has drawn links to Inter for several months with Inter manager Antonio Conte understood to be seeking a reunion with the Chilean national team player, who he worked with at Juventus.

Vidal was linked with Inter last Summer, in the most recent January transfer window and the links have continued in the media for a potential move in this transfer window

“I have a year left on my contract and with everything that has happened, today I feel important, I feel a lot of affection in the team, I have many excellent friends and I hope to reach the end of my contract,” Vidal explained in an interview with Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, which was posted on their online edition.

“I want to win the Champions League if God wants it and try to win the treble next year. Will I be here next year? God willing, yes, I’ll stay here.”

The 33-year-old, who has been with the Blaugrana club since the Summer of 2018, has made 42 appearances across all competitions to date this term.

In his time on the park, which totals just shy of 2600 minutes, the former Bayern Munich player has scored eight goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
