Inter are currently ahead of everyone else in the race to sign Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

The Nerazzurri club have been courting the highly rated Albanian national team player for a considerable amount of time and face competition from Lazio and arch rivals Juventus for his signature.

Juventus are furthest behind in the race to land the 20-year-old, who has had his breakthrough season this campaign and could make a move for him once either Daniele Rugani or Cristian Romero are sold.

Kumbulla is widely regarded as one of the best young talents currently in Serie A and it has been reported elsewhere in the media that the Gialloblu club want in the region of €30 million for him.

This season Kumbulla, who is under contract with the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi cub until 2022, made 26 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored a single goal.
