Giorgio Perinetti, Brescia’s new sporting director, discussed Inter target Sandro Tonali and the player’s future in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli yesterday evening.

“Tonali is exciting in the personality he expresses, he is a talent of our club. We’ll see what his future will be, but with Cellino we’re in good hands.

“I’ll give my contribution to Brescia to work to return immediately to Serie A. President Cellino is used to dealing with big clubs, he’ll certainly find the best solution for Tonali.”

Perinetti was unsure if fellow Italian side Napoli were also in the running to sign the 20-year-old Italian midfielder.

“I don’t know anything, I’ve just arrived.”

Inter are incredibly keen to sign Tonali this summer, with the player being one of the club’s top targets. The Nerazzurri aren’t in a rush to secure his signature, considering that they’ve already reached personal terms with the midfielder and are confident that he wouldn’t accept a move to another team.

Tonali impressed in his debut season in Serie A with Brescia, despite the Lombard club’s relegation from the Italian topflight.

The 20-year-old Italian made 36 appearances across all competitions this season, for a total of 3108 minutes. In that time, he scored a wonder free-kick against Genoa and provided seven assists, turning heads with his dominating presence in midfield.
