The future of Inter defender Milan Skriniar depends on the fate of coach Antonio Conte, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 51-year-old Italian coach hasn’t been impressed with the 25-year-old Skriniar this season, with the player struggling to adapt to a back three.

Skriniar’s fate is linked with Conte’s, the report continues. Whilst the former Juve boss would be happy to send him to Tottenham in exchange for Tanguy Ndombele, should Conte leave Inter at the end of the season then Skriniar is likely to stay. Especially if the Milanese club bring in Massimiliano Allegri, who would switch the formation back to a back four.

The Slovakian has made 41 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 3393 minutes. In that time, he has provided two assists but has looked shaky in Conte’s tactical setup.
