Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen discussed his memories of Serie A, thoughts on his teammates and experiences in Italy in an interview with a fan over a video call earlier today. His words were noted by Italian media outlet FcInter1908.
First, he spoke about his first memory of the Italian league.
“I’m not that old. I think the first thing I remember is the time when Ronaldo was at Inter and how Inter has changed since his arrival in Milan. I remember from the games we saw on television, he was something really special.”
He commented on which Nerazzurri players like to joke and have fun the most.
“I think there are some characters! Something always happens between Barella, Biraghi and Bastoni. I would tell you these three, in particular Barella and Biraghi.
“They’re always arguing with each other, they joke around often, when they’re there you never get bored! They are the ones who joke the most inside the locker room. They are incredible guys, they always bring a lot of joy and that’s good.”
Finally, Eriksen spoke about how it feels to live in Milan and experience the Lombard capital.
“Actually, I don’t have much free time at the moment. We train a lot and there are lots of games. The pace of training is different.
“In England we play a lot of games, but here in the last few months we’ve played too many. It’s different from what you would do in a normal situation.
“Milan is a beautiful city to take walks, to eat out, to go to the park, to do anything.”
The 28-year-old Eriksen, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, joined the Milanese club in a deal worth around €20 million from Tottenham in the January transfer window.
The player failed to impress upon arrival and the Coronavirus break gave him some time to adapt to coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system, allowing him to impress a little more in the restart. Several reports in Italy state the Dane will be an important figure in the squad next season.
