Inter striker Lautaro Martinez will look to impress against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League, moving on from his recent poor form, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how the 22-year-old Argentine striker’s form has dipped following the interest from Barcelona and their attempts to sign the player.
Inter and the Blaugrana won’t negotiate regarding the player until the end of the season, and the Nerazzurri are already preparing to extend his contract and increases his wages from €1.5 million net per season.
Lautaro knows that he needs to impress following on from the announcement that the Nerazzurri have permanently signed Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, the report continues.
He has not scored in the Europa League yet this season but scored in Vienna last year in the first match after former striker Mauro Icardi’s mutiny, showing his ability to impress under pressure.
