Inter president Steven Zhang will only travel to Germany to watch the Nerazzurri should they beat Bayer Leverkusen tomorrow evening, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 28-year-old Chinese businessman returned to his home in China due to the Coronavirus pandemic but will travel to Europe to watch his squad in Germany should they beat Bayer Leverkusen tomorrow in the Europa League quarterfinals.
Considering the current state of the Coronavirus pandemic across the world, the Inter president doesn’t want to take the risk and travel thousands of miles unless the Milanese club have a genuine shot of winning the competition.
The club are favourites for tomorrow’s game and have a good shot of winning the trophy should they best the Bundesliga side, although it’s likely that they’ll face Premier League side Manchester United in the final.
