Inter are looking to sign another midfielder alongside Brescia’s Sandro Tonali this summer and are considering alternatives to Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombelé should they fail to secure the Frenchman, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.it yesterday.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are interested in Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez. The 24-year-old Uruguayan joined the Rossoblu from Argentine side Boca Juniors a year ago today and impressed in his first season in Serie A.

Nandez has a €37 million release clause, the report continues, and the Nerazzurri could look to include Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan in a possible deal.

The former Roma man’s future is currently unclear and new Rossoblu coach Eusebio Di Francesco is a fan of the player, so a deal could be on the cards.

Contracted to the club until 2024, Nandez made 38 appearances across all competitions this season, for a total of 3001 minutes. In that time, he scored twice and provided four assists.
