Lazio are still focusing on signing Inter linked defender Marash Kumbulla, with the Nerazzurri’s attention being drawn elsewhere, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Biancocelesti are incredibly keen to sign the 20-year-old Albanian defender, who impressed in his debut season in Serie A.

The Roman club can’t satisfy the requests of the Gialloblu but have raised their initial offer from €17 million plus André Anderson.

Inter’s offer of €23 million was higher, the report continues, but Hellas Verona president Maurizio Setti wants €30 million. Inter are now interested in signing 22-year-old Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, giving the Roman club hope that they can secure Kumbulla’s services uncontested.

Kumbulla, who is contracted to the Gialloblu until 2022, made 26 appearances across all competitions this season, for a total of 2078 minutes. In that time, he scored one goal and helped the side keep seven clean sheets.
