Inter are preparing to send young defender Lorenzo Pirola out on loan for next season, with one Serie B club in particular close to securing the 18-year-old Italian, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking for a temporary home for the talented Italian teenager, who is contracted to the club until 2025.

Despite Sassuolo’s attempts to permanently sign Pirola, Inter aren’t willing to give up on the player and so are looking for a club where he will earn consistent playing time to gain more first team experience.

Serie B side Spezia are working hard to convince Inter that Pirola would suit their squad, the report continues, and they are currently busy working towards promotion to the Italian topflight in the Serie B play-offs. Should they achieve promotion, it would be even easier to convince the 18-year-old to join the Ligurian club.
