Dario Baccin has rejected the opportunity to leave Inter to work for Parma according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.
Parma had sounded out Baccin with regard to becoming their director of football but Baccin will be going nowhere with him happy to stay at Inter and continue to carry out his current duties.
Baccin, who is Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio’s right hand man, met with Parma management for talks last week but he has decided to reject their advances.
The 43-year-old joined Inter’s management set-up back in 2017 and recently signed a contract extension with the club until the end of the 2021/22 season.
With Baccin knocking them back, the Ducali club will be forced to look elsewhere. Reports elsewhere in the media have suggested that they have held talks with others, including Cagliari sporting director Marcello Carli, and it remains to be seen whether Carli or someone else will be appointed by Parma.
