Inter’s defence will have to be solid tomorrow to limit the impact of Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how the 21-year-old German forward has exploded onto the scene this season with the Bundesliga side, scoring 17 goals and providing nine assists in 44 appearances so far this season.
His performances have seen him be widely linked with a move to Premier League side Chelsea, with talks still ongoing.
Inter have not conceded in the last five games, the report continues, with the last goal being scored by Roma’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the 19th July.
The feeling in the squad is that the defence are in top form, with Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni being stalwarts ahead of Samir Handanovic, with even Diego Godin starting to impress, at the expense of 25-year-old Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar.
