Winning the Europa League is worth €15 million to Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Inter have already pocketed a total of €2.6 million in prize money thanks to progressing past Ludogorets in the last 32 and more recently Getafe in the last 16 of the competition.
If Inter are to overcome Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League quarter finals tonight, they will pocket a further €2.4 million and if they are to win in the semi final, where they will face either Shakhtar Donetsk or FC Basel, and reach the final they will get €4.5 million.
The report adds that winning the Europa League would then give Inter another €4 million and then they will receieve a further €3.5 million from participating in the UEFA Super Cup against the winners of the Champions League.
The UEFA Super Cup is scheduled to take place on September 24 at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary.
